Wyatt Turned 5 and We Went to Disneyland!

We took Wyatt to Disneyland for his 5th Birthday. Mama, Papa, Aunt Hil, Aunt Caitlyn, Travis, Nana Kandy, and our good friend Brad all came along to celebrate this mile stone.

Aunt Hil was so excited she couldn't even stay in the car while we parked.

Wyatt and Gerrit were so excited we actually got them to smile for the camera.

Wyatt got a "Happy Birthday" badge to wear all day. Everyone who worked at Disneyland would wish him a Happy Birthday and he would reply with "Happy Birthday to you too". Almost like you would respond for a Merry Christmas greeting.

Both the boys loved looking at the map to see where we were.

Buzz Light Year was our first ride.

Silly Aunt Hil

Finding Nemo Submarines. Wyatt thought it was too loud.

Pirates of the Caribbean!

Autopia was the favorite ride of the day. We did it 3 times. Wyatt liked "driving the race cars".

That is actually a family picture. We are on the right. It is hard to pick us out among all the people. :-)

Nana Kandy loves the Tea Cups. Caitlyn and Travis were the only ones brave enough to go too. The rest of us get sick just watching.

Getting ready for the 3D Toy Story Midway Games ride.

Bugs Life bumper cars. Another favorite since it involved driving and crashing.

All tuckered out but not quite ready to give up the map yet.

Poor Wyatt, I don't know how he sleeps like this but he was so tried it didn't matter to him.

It was a very fun day! We even got stuck on Small World for 15 minutes. Jeremy thinks we might be able to sue for cruel and unusual punishment. The boys thought it was the best part though.

Easter 2010

Ready to go!

The Hunt!

The Easter Bunny's handy work!

Surveying the loot!

The next two pictures demonstrate the difference in my two boy's personalities.

Wyatt, organizing the loot so he can save it for later.

Gerrit, devouring the first piece of loot he can find and eating all his candy in 2 minutes.

It was a blessed Sunday celebrating Christ's resurrection!!!

Wyatt's 1st Ski Lesson

WARNING: Way too many pictures posted below by over enthusiastic mother!

Wyatt went to June Mountain for his first ski lesson. He took a group lesson and then took a run with his dad.

Getting ready to head up the chair to the June Mountain Chalet.

His Olympic shot. "Peace"

Instructor Dan

After getting used to his skies and walking up the carpet Wyatt is ready to take his first run.

Mid-run

The finish! Look at that smile.

Moving onto the bigger hill. This is the "magic carpet". It is a moving walk way that takes the kids up the hill. Let me just say that they did not have these when I was learning to ski.

Going down the big hill!

(Sorry, the next two pictures are out of order.)

The Crash

Still has a smile on his face.

Going down.

Three generations of skiers!

All together, showing Wyatt what to do.

Riding up the chair with Dad for his first "real" run.

Getting off the chair.

Skiing down!

It was a very fun day!! Wyatt did great and enjoyed learning to ski. The hardest part was learning how to wedge to slow down. Wyatt didn't want to slow down. He wanted to go straight and fast.

Winter Camping

We set the tent up in the living room last night so the boys could "camp out".

They were so excited they couldn't stand still for the picture.

Getting tucked in.

Still playing!

Playing with their flash lights. The room was totally dark and the only thing you could see was their little lights shinning through the tent. They had the case of the giggles.

Finally asleep!!!

Pancakes for breakfast.
The best part about this camping trip is that Mommy got to sleep in her warm bed and wake up to a warm house and fully supplied kitchen for cooking! We need to do more living room camping!
