Soccer

Wyatt had his first day of Soccer today! He really liked to kick the ball far and didn't like the dribbling drills so much.

Good Bye Summer

Jeremy and I got to go for a ride together today! It was only our second one for the season together. It was a beautiful day and likely the last ride of the season.

Gerrit Turned 2

July 31st was Gerrit's 2nd Birthday! We had a BBQ and rode the horse!

Gerrit got lots of fun presents including a new sleeping bag for camping, a quilt to match his brother's for the bunk bed (handmade by Kandy), books, an animal hospital, and airplanes.

Gerrit blew out his candles before everyone was done singing "Happy Birthday". Mom was trying to stop him. He just wanted to get to eating the cake!

Gerrit's 1st Hair Cut

Gerrit got his first hair cut. You think we were trying to poke his eye out.

1st Bike

We got Wyatt his first bicycle this last week. He loves it!!! He gets up every morning and the first thing he wants to do is go ride his new bike. Gerrit is also happy to have Wyatt's old tricycle even if he can't reach the pedals yet.

1st Fishing Trip

We took the boys fishing for the first time today. It was cold and windy, but since we told them that we would be going, we couldn't back out. We went to June Lake and fished off the private dock Jeremy's grandparents used to own. It was the same place Jeremy caught his first fish! We didn't think we would be able to catch anything because of the weather but thanks to some Salmon Egg Chum and Pink Power Bait we were able to get the boys a GREAT fish. The current owner of the dock was a good sport about us bringing in the biggest fish of the season. I think he wished he had caught it though.

Dedication Service

We had a wonderful dedication service on May 31st for the boys. It was so special to have both sets of grandparents there. Gerrit was very wiggly though and now I know why they try to do this when they are infants.
